Shadow Wolf Energy, LLC. and the Placerita Oil Field has a rich history, spanning over a century of producing energy for the world. It is an active mature shallow, heavy oil asset that we continue to develop across the property. We use a combination of cyclic and continuous steam injection. Our oil field is also a perfect filming location for movies and television, adding to the cultural and economic value of our community.

BRIEF HISTORY

1920 - Placerita field was "discovered" by Equity Oil Company

1925 - First reported production (6 BOPD - barrels of oil per day)

1948 - Nelson Phillips drills Kraft #1 (70 BOPD) followed by 23 additional wells

1949 - Juanita #1 completed (340 BOPD) Confusion Hill (adjacent property) boom begins. Production peaks at 36,000 BOPD, falls to 12,200 by 1950 and activity slows.
